A small group of genealogy enthusiasts started the Baytown Genealogy Society, Inc. in October of 1966 and it has continued to this day!
The Baytown Genealogy Society meetings are usually held the second Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m., with the exception of special meetings that will be announced during the year. Meetings are not held during the months of June, July and August. See "Meeting Announcements"
The Library is closed at this time due to major damage sustained by a motorist on October 5th. The building is scheduled to be demolished. Meetings will continue to be held at other locations. Watch meeting announcements for meeting locations.

The library holdings are being placed into storage. Once a new facility has been located,the library will once again be open for research.
The Baytown Genealogical Society is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
